~~BEWARE~~ of "TAX FREE" shops in Hong-Kong.

We thought spending our vacation in Hong-Kong will be exciting but, it turned out into a big disaster. We really had a very bad experienced during our stay there. My mom was really upset the entire week. It was our biggest mistake when we bought a CANON DSLR camera at JORDAN DIGITAL WORLD (located in Jordan Road, Yaumatei, Kowloon, Hong Kong). I should have read the article my sister gave me about "TAX FREE" shops. "Bait and Switch" most of the stores common doing. First, they will tell you the price of their gadgets are cheaper. After you had for paid it, there is no way to cancel it. They will introduce another product which is more expensive and ask for an additional payment. But, if your going to check the price from the other stores and do some research on the internet, it's cheaper.

Since, my dad didn't have a chance to buy a camera in Malaysia, because he might be late on his flight back to the Philippines, he heard from his co-worker, gadgets are cheaper in Hong-Kong. Me and my mom were scheduled to go there this year, we decided to buy in HK instead. We were looking for Canon 550D or Nikon D90 for my younger sister's graduation gift. From their shop, the 550D cost 25,000 pesos only, while D90 was only 29,000 pesos. So, we decided to get the 550D, when they showed us the camera, ask for my mom's credit card and gave us the receipt. We were expecting to get the camera after we paid it. Instead, they told us to sit first to teach us on how to use the DSLR, but we were surprised when the Chinese guy showed another camera, it's NIKON L110, he keeps on insisting to get the L110 rather than 550D. He was really eager to convince my mom and even got mad at me when I said "It's not a DSLR, so my sister will not like it!". He told to me "Don't confuse your mom okay!". He didn't let us go until my mom will agree, we've been staying there for an hour. First, he told us that there will be an additional 10,000 pesos if we'll take the L110. But my mom wasn't convinced at all. So, he gave us another discount for 5,000 pesos only. There's one thing that he said that made me very much annoyed, "Once you leave the shop, you cannot change the item anymore" and, I was like "WTF?!!! What kind of store is this?". The Chinese guy was talking too much and saying a lot of negative stuff about the camera we chose. Like, it was an old model and the selection written in Chinese characters only. He keeps on telling us that we will regret it, if we'll get the 550D or D90. It appears that he was convincing us that we were wrong if we'll still choose the camera we want. I walked out because it's driving me nuts! When my mom left the shop, I was surprised when she took the L110 camera! So, I just kept quiet the whole time 'coz I did not want to argue. But, my mom was really bothered, she felt there was something wrong about the camera. I told her to change it right now before it's too late, we might regret it and we went back immediately. Unfortunately, the Chinese guy said "No! You cannot change it, I told you before you go away!". He has a lot of excuses. Like, he will call the manager, the stock room was closed, no more stocks, go back on Monday, etc. How can that be? We just bought the camera the same day, we just left 2 hours ago. Until, he showed us another unit of camera, a CANON REBEL XS. He was asking again to pay an additional 10,000 pesos! He showed us the receipt of the first tourist guy who bought the camera with the same unit for 42,000 pesos. His reason was it's the only DSLR camera available at that moment and with multi-language selection. We said, we still want the 550D or D90 and there is a language selector, so we can change it to English and he made me look more stupid when he said "No, there is not, it's only in Chinese". My mom said we don't have any money left and we're still going to Macau the next day, her credit cards were declined when we used it from another stores. Then, we got a text message from my sister, the L110 cost 12,000-14,000 pesos only in the Philippines and other countries. My mom fainted because we were fooled by those Chinese people! A lot of people outside were shocked and looking at us. My mom was begging him to give us what we wanted or change it to any kind of items with the same price but still, he didn't agree. My dad was really mad when he called and talked to him. The Chinese guy crumpled our receipt. He didn't like people screwing him around. When my dad told him we will report them to immigration, he changed his mind and didn't allow us to replace the camera anymore. My mom was still begging him and fainted again. It was freaking me out, I was really worried about her, because she just got diagnosed with heart disease. I don't know what will I do if something bad happens to her. Finally, the Chinese guy asked us, how much money do we have left, then he can give us the REBEL XS. Apparently, the price of the camera was a bit too much but I just decided to give my money and we left the store. I didn't want to stay there any longer. Otherwise, I might say something not good since I was really pissed off and I'm starting to lose my patience.

We just found out that my aunt had a bad experience there too when she went there a year ago. She bought a camera for her friend. It was working fine when they showed it her but, when she got home the camera wasn't working anymore. She went back to the shop to replace the item but, they didn't want to change it. So beware! Don't be a victim like us.

We went to Bolinao to spend holy week with my relatives. It will take 4 to 5 hours drive from our place. My family really enjoyed and had a great holiday because it was really a nice place, the water off Patar Beach is glassy-smooth. Anyway, something happened before we got there... we almost had an accident... I was driving 100km/hr and we we're almost there to our destination... Suddenly, a dog bumped into the car... I panicked and turned my head back 'coz I thought it was already dead. The car that I was driving went to the other side of the road since I was still trying to find the dog. So, I didn't notice that there was a tricycle coming with five people inside... I almost hit them! *sigh*... My aunt grabbed the steering wheel so it didn't crash into the car or somewhere. Thank God. After that... I stopped... My dad was shouting at me to leave... but I can't even moved since I was completely shocked. I became more nervous when we saw those five people went out of the vehicle and going to our direction. In my mind I was like... "SHIT, WTH !@#$%^&*"... I got scared 'coz something might happen and I don't know what will I say to them. When the tricycle driver saw me, a girl driving a car, he was bit surprised and calmed, but you will know that he was still mad through his tone of voice. My dad and uncle quickly got off the car to talk to them and apologized. I know it was my fault. My uncles gave me some tips... "It's better to hit an animal rather than a person"... Well, It's a good thing we prayed before we leave. So we're all safe. :)

I didn't expect that I passed the initial interview since it was more than 2 weeks since the last time they called me. When I passed the initial interview they informed that I will be having my call simulation by Wednesday at exactly 12 noon. Anyway, the hardest part for me is the call simulation test, Task 1 consisted of three different test. First, is the repeat after me, she will say 10 sentences and you have to get at least 5 to be able to pass. Second, she will read a short story about the client having a problem with the transaction. After that, she will ask 3 questions about the situation and you have to get at least 2 correct answers. The last part of the test is the role playing, you will act as a customer service representative in a big company. You have to make your own script and your goal is to satisfied your clients need. If you passed, then you can proceed to Speed Typing Test, minimum of 30 words per minutes. For Web Browser Tests, there are 5 set of questions and you have to look for them within 5 minutes. Anyway, I'm upset and lonely when I failed my final interview because of my stupid phone. He told me... "I don't have any problems with your english 'coz you can understand and speak english very well, but the problem is you should know your product even it is not in front of you. However, you can re-apply after 3 months"... He was a bit shocked when he saw me crying in front of him after he said that. Lol. Anyway, after 1 week I got a call from Sutherland again and I passed the final interview. They asked me to go at their branch office at Clark, Pampanga. I didn't go there from my job training supposedly yesterday because the ICT Company called again for my final interview reassessment and I was very happy when I passed, haha! I will be having my call center training on December 8. Lol.

In all the times we have been together we shared every expenses or he always pay when we go out. I insisted that I should pay him, but still... he didn't want to. General Tinio Medical Mission

Volunteer for the Nueva Ecijaños, with the help of INC Buklod, Kadiwa't Binhi Nueva Ecija South District Officers, sponsored another Medical, Surgical and Dental Mission. This mission was held at the General Tinio, Papaya, Nueva Ecija last November 8, 2008. Local doctors and local volunteers addressed ailments from worms, and stomach problems to circumcisions, TB treatment, prenatal care, and pulling teeth.

There were a lot of volunteer doctors, dentists and nurses participated. As well as SCAN International helped maintain security and stability in the environment. More than 600 medical patients, surgical (circumcision) and dental patients were attended to. The mission was well attended and I hope there will be more medical and dental missions to be held in our town in Nueva Ecija. This is my second medical mission I've attented since our role is to help other people.

I made a request for the termination of my first friendster account since it was hacked by a ridiculous person. The team management respond after 3 days. They asked me to provide at least 1 primary document to prove my identity before taking actions regarding that matter. At last, they cancelled it after 2 days. But, I was knocked for six when they sent me a message... "Your Friendster account has been suspended, because it violates Friendster's Terms of Service: http://www.friendster.com/info/tos.php."... I can't find any valid reason why they have to suspend my account that I'm currently using and therefore not able to explain the main reason. After an hour and a half later, I got another message from their customer service... "Your Friendster account has been re-instated.".... The heck! I was scared and can't hardly breathe because I thought they will totally get rid my second account.

We had a long conversation about ridiculous things and his new flings. Lol. We were chatting when I received a call from his best friend. He called for 3 times just to tell me to watch "One More Chance" movie on channel 8. I was speechless for a few seconds because he's acting very weird that night. He hang up when I was going to ask him about it. In my mind... What's wrong with you?! Anyway, he called again... I told him I've already seen that movie before and then I asked him again why. He didn't want to give any reason, but he keeps on insisting we should watch it because we can all relate to the characters in some way. We were so confused when he said that. So, his friend asked him if he has a problem. We thought it's about the 18 years old girl or some other women from his past. To make a long story short, he told his friend that he has a problem with me. We were shocked when he said that and leaving us completely puzzled about his attitude towards me.

I was surpised when my guy friend Jeff went at my place yesterday. We were supposed to visit our friends Mathew and Gelyn but, they were all too busy with their schedules. We had nothing to do and we're not in the mood to go somewhere else. So, we decided to stay home and solve the 1000 pieces of Simpsons jigsaw puzzle that I bought for my sister when I was in Sydney. Actually, we already solved it before but, our housekeeper accidentally put the pieces out of order. We took 4 to 5 hours to resolve it. The good thing is... he has a frame shop and he'll make a full-size frame for my puzzle for free. Lol.

Oath

We had a solemn oath at our Churh today and I’m not worried about the commitment to serve God. Once the oath was taken, for me it was the highest priority in the life of the covenant-maker so that he made certain it was carefully fulfilled. The purpose of an oath was to guarantee truthfulness by one's calling on God as witness.

After taking the oath this morning, we had such a fabulous day. We were so excited and honored to have photo shoot with Tito Eric Gonzales. You can see some of those INC - Kadiwa Nueva Ecija South District Officers sample photo-shoot pictures below. Although, it wasn’t very easy because it requires more post processing of images after the shoot. At the end of the day, we had gotten some great shots. Overall this was another very nice experience to be part of and we really had a great time. Now, we are quite curious about the results of the pictures.

Trials

It’s only during the trials that life brings us that we can grow stronger in our faith. But far to often we cannot give praise for the trail because we’re not able to accept it for growth. When we receive trials, sometimes we prove with false actions and react emotionally from our anger or our frustration. But, we have to stand on the faith that we have in God, and rest in His promises. It sounds easy... but we must have faith, resting on the promises, leaning on God, listening for His voice. But try doing it when your marriage is failing, when your children are late getting home from a date, when your friends become your enemies, or when the doctors are saying “It doesn’t look good”. Trouble will come your way but trials are not the reason to give up but a challenge to improve ourselves, difficulties are not an excuse to backout but an insipiration to move forward.

I don't have any regrets since I started my English Language Proficiency class at Language Skills Institute because I have learned how to deal with different emotions and proper communication. Knowing how to react to those nuanced behaviors-stubbornness, impatience, dissatisfaction, loss of temper, excessive demand-in moral and etiquette oriented ways. With the sense that that clients sometimes may disrespecting us, and so needs to be taught some good manners. Since, some of them overly demanding or merely perfectionistic, and so needs to get with the program. The fact of the matter is, whether for good, bad or worse, stress generates an additional set of control issues. Balance all aspects of our lives and work.

My mom bought me a new pair of red Havaianas today. I really don’t have any idea that there’s this thing as class A or imitation. Havana, Havannas, and Hawaianas perhaps are very familiar to me. Until I came across to a site notifying me about the fake havs. It’s appropriately spelled and trademark correctly copied. However, according to my friends looking underneath its leash you would spot nothing in the fake ones compared to the genuine havaianas that has an imprinted text "INDUSTRIA BRASILEIRA HECHO EN BRASIL MADE IN BRAZIL" and the other havs it has an imprinted "Made In Brazil" at the back of the slippers. The texture is different and it is heavier compare to other havs. I never thought my mom was going to buy me a new one since she already bought me a Skechers and Tommy slippers before, but now they look so filthy and old.

It was a tough week for me and I'm very upset about many things. It started when my boyfriend and I got into a huge fight. Oh well... I don't have to bother that much because it's part of a relationship. Anyway, I was exhausted and I've been rejected from a job today. We were 25 in the class applying for Sutherland Company. Aside from us, a lot of people where there morning till night. We took an hour to fill up the application forms because it requires us to write at least 150 words on the given topic. After we filled up the forms, we have to answer the written test first. There were 15 questions for the Mathematics and Problem Solving and 35 items for English Grammar Exercises. I didn't notice the last page and I forgot to answer the 20 items for Computer Related Questions. But we were surprised, only 8 of us passed the written exam. Those who passed the written exam are allowed to have their initial interview and only 5 of us left. Sadly to say, only 2 of my classmates were lucky to passed their final interview. Maybe, call center job is not for me now. Anyway, it was fine with me since they need it more than I am. Experience is more important to me so next time I know what to do.

It is routine for my family and I to spend most of our time going to mall every Sunday. There is a new Robinson's mall in town but it's just the supermarket that's open. It might take a few months for the other stores to open. But, it is not that big compared to other branches in other places. Still, a lot of people got excited and preferred to buy their products at a higher cost just to check out the place. It was almost closing time when we left. I asked my dad to drop me at my friend Mico's house because it was his younger brother's birthday. My friends were also invited and I was expecting that a lot of people were coming. We had a lot of fun together since my cousin Candy came back from Australia and we missed her a so much. We enjoyed the night and the foods, haha! It's been 2 months since we all got together. Sadly, our friend LJ couldn't come because she was pregnant and it's not good for her if she gets tired. We stayed for an hour at the party until the rest of us decided to get some coffee at the newly opened Jack's Coffee. When we got there, my guy friend and I had a fight. I was very disappointed about what he told me. Although, he was only concerned about me and I noticed that I'm becoming more sensitive this past few weeks. Anyway, we'll make up somehow because he's a good friend of mine and he's almost like a brother to me. I just have to be more open-minded next time. x_x

It’s been 3 weeks since my classes started. I thought it was not interesting at first since there were only 25 students in the morning session class but I was wrong. I enjoyed it and was motivated with the sense of dedication that each other had for the program that developed in the class. The program has some of the best instructors I've ever had, and they gave me the skill set and confidence to become better in speaking English. I also got to learn new roles and I was given a chance to participate in a debate that was held this morning. But, it was a surprise debate and everybody panicked. Lol. Our topic was all about, “Do war in Iraq increase or decrease the strength of terrorism?” The class divided into 2 groups. I belonged to positive side while the other group was on negative side. Each side had to support their groups. When it was my turn to ask the question, I wasn’t able to say anything for my mind was totally blank during the first round. I was really nervous that time coz I had a bit of stage fright. I'm not really good at debates even though that was my second time to be in one. At the last minute of the discussion, I was able to say the word that I wanted to tell them and I gave some additional opinions about the topic. After the discussion, I was able remember the question that I was going to ask. Lol. Anyway, we will be having our next debate tomorrow morning about, "If there is an existence of gay and lesbian marriage".

COMMUNICATION GADGETS THESE DAYS

In this century accomplishing work faster and accurately becomes a necessity. And now the communication gadgets take communications to new levels, security and convenience. Many companies continue to develop new ideas and devices for much easier transmission of information throughout the world. That's why the demands of gadgets are increasing day-by-day among the people around the globe. Among these new forms of communications, computers and mobile phones are the most popular.

What makes it bad or good is how human beings are using it. The use of technology to ruin someone's reputation, spreading gossips and false news is an example of how can this be used in a bad way. We are seeing students, as well as adults, misusing and abusing this technology. Just because we live in a high-tech world doesn't mean our manners will behave in an unacceptable way in handling this technology.

I'm very aware of the dangers through online chat rooms, text mates and phone pals. They would usually ask for an “eyeball” but they could be a person with bad intentions since they can pretend to be someone they wanted to be and there's no way to know for certain whom you are chatting with. I am not making excuses for the bad things that can happen to them. No one deserves it but somehow everyone needs to take some responsibility and act responsible.

After class yesterday, my crush called me up and he invited us for a dinner because there was a small gathering at their house. Although we came very late, we were surpised that we were the only visitors there and a lot of food was prepared. His mom's cooking is the great. Everything was delicious especially the crispy pata, it's the best. We ate a lot and I'm starting to gain weight again, lol. After we ate we had a little chat and we decided to go home because my cousin Jaimi moved to our place that night with her nanny and with our new housekeeper. She will stay to us for 6 months 'coz her mother is going to travel in 3 countries and it would be difficult for the baby to go with her. She always got a smile on her face, very charming girl and it's very easy to take care of her but she's a little shy meeting new people but warms up quickly. I think It would be wonderful to have a baby in the house since we don't have any little sister or brother at all.

Oh another thing, my aunt Marie installed a Vonage internet broadband telephone, she will only pay for $30 every month and it's unlimited calls in landline and mobile phones in 2 countries like US and Canada. I used it for many times, lol. Awesome!

First Day

The first day of my classes was miserable, although it was just an orientation yesterday but we are not able to use all the computers for our training. It was really hot, all my fats were burning (good for me, lol.) and we're not really comfortable during the entire day, since some parts of the city were affected by the blackouts until this day. The electric company explained that they have some electrical problems and that's the reason why they have to shut down every major energy source of our city, but still our professors continued the discussions. Anyway, I was appointed as the Treasurer of our class. Honestly, I don't want the position because I'm scared and uneasy holding money for our class fund. I kept holding my bag for the rest of the day 'coz I have to be aware from the thieves at any places I go. I was really suprised when I passed the English Proficiency prospeak exam at Old Capitol today 'coz there were 80 applicants applying for scholarship in english class with free call center training. I was really nervous when I took the first set of exams because there are 4 different speaking tasks using a mobile phone. We have to pass the first set so we are able to take the interview for the second examination and after you pass the interview you can take the speed typing test for the final set. The passing grade for this exam is 46 and surprisingly I got 50. Classes will start this Monday and I think it would be fun 'coz my college classmate Gelyn was also there and we made a new great friends already.

We had nothing to do yesterday so my cousins asked me to download Skype. This is a software that allows users to make calls over the internet and you can download it for free. This is better compared to other messengers because of its high-quality voice connection and it has all the features of an ordinary phone with high-quality video connections. It’s even easier to communicate and we can see each other clearly. I had a lot of fun doing some funny moves with my cousins, lol. This is awesome!

It was a holiday yesterday, so my family and I went to Clark, Pampanga. We strolled there for the whole day. While walking we saw some cute Mario Bros Nitendo characaters collection. I bought Luigi and Goomba, while my sisters got Toad and Yoshi. Too bad, Mario and the other characters were sold out. I remember my cousin Sarah when she bought a big Goomba when she was still here. Anyway, my sister Shinny looked for a new pair of school shoes again I don't know what kind of feet she has 'coz she can really wreck her shoes in just few months. So I told her that it's better to buy a steel toe one. Lol. When Shinny already found a new pair of shoes, we saw a Mickey Mouse stuff toy and they bought it for me because I was totally broke, haha!

We had another celebration last night. My friend's youngest sister celebrated her 18th birthday at La Parilla Hotel. She was really pretty wearing a simple cute gown. She really deserved the party that her family prepared for her because she has always been a good daughter, a smart student, a very sweet girl and all good traits that someone can be proud of. She's almost a sister to all of us. Time has gone by so fast ever since we first saw her when she was only a freshman in high school. It's a sign that we're not getting any younger. Haha!

Anyway, all my friends came to Crystal's party. We were all participants for the 18 treasures and 18 roses. At first, I didn't really know what should I give her 'coz she had almost everything. I went to the mall looking for a nice gift, when I saw this cute pink pillow at a toy store. I bought it since that's her favorite color and when I saw this it really reminded me of her because she would always hug us when we see each other. It was a great party even though their parents were not there, still we enjoyed the party.

I just came back from Baguio City. My friends and I filled our applications for the coming Nursing Board Exam on the last week of November. There were so many things that happened this week. We were supposed to go to Baguio last Tuesday but, we canceled it because there was a typhoon and it's very risky for us if we still come. So, we decided to go there on Thursday instead and it's favorable for me 'coz I can attend our church early in the morning before leaving. But we were still worried on how long it will take us on filing applications and hoping that we could go early. When we reached the place, we were surprise 'coz only few people were there and it only took an hour to finish it. After that, we decided to sleep over the place I suggested. It has great ambiance especially at night. We took a rest for half an hour. Then they dragged me outside to go with them at SM Baguio to play arcade games and buy some food for our dinner. Since I was the only girl in our group and of course my guy friends have bigger appetites, we had food trips for the whole day til the next. We bought KCF bucket meals for our supper and we had rice, bacon, hotdog for our breakfast. After dinner, they decided to get some coffee and some midnight snacks. OMG! I wanted to throw up that night. I felt so dizzy but I didn't even get a wink for the rest of the night because my friends didn't let me sleep 'coz they kept telling ridiculous scary stories and kept on teasing me. We slept around 6 in the morning and as a result we had big hideous eyebags.

We're so bored tonight. When we saw the 2 small cubes inside my room, I tried to fix the first one and I know that I'm not good in solving any kind of puzzles. But, I was surprised when I accidentally solved the small cube that my father gave to me last year. Haha!

I've been trying to solve the second cube for many times but, I wasn't able to figure it out. My sister Sherry helped me 'coz she was really good when it comes to different games that are designed to test skills or intelligence. Try this , it's cool. :D

We had a lot of celebrations this month of August. We had 2 gatherings last night, it was Mathew's birthday and Tito Mackie's farewell. The whole clan was there and they also invited some of their friends. Of course, my crush was invited again, haha! It was a great night, we were all giggling and chatting. They had a few drinks and a few laughs just like old times. I didn't know that my parents and my sister left for home, but my uncle said that they will be back soon. So, I decided to gome home and I just told them that I'll return with my parents. I was surprised when my crush offered to give me a ride, he keeps on insisting that he wants to drop me home. I had a ridiculous smile on my face and blushed. Haha! When we reached home, all of a sudden, I was amazed when he told me "It's getting late, why don't you take a rest and don't come back there 'coz I'm going home now." and I started thinking about what he said and in my mind... "Is that an order?!" and I was speechless, I didn't know how to react. Anyway, I like it. Lol.

We celebrated Kean's 2nd birthday today at Mc Donald's with the whole family and their friends. It was really fun and cute especially when the kids were wearing their favorite costumes. There were a lot of great games during the party as well. When I heard that they also prepared games for adults, I automatically hid myself 'coz I was not in a good mood to play with them but I had a feeling that they were gonna ask me to join them. Still, they saw me hiding behind my father's back. Unfortunately, I couldn't say no 'coz I don't wanna ruin the fun that time and surprisingly, I enjoyed the game. :]

Yesterday morning, after church we went to Manila at my Uncle's house to pick up my documents that we submitted to the Australian Embassy 2 months ago. It took 3 and a half hours drive from the place where I live. My grandfather and my cousin was there when we arrived, although my cousin Alvin stayed only for a couple minutes 'coz he will be attending church in the afternoon. We took a break for a bit because we had to leave right away 'coz my parents still want to go at Pampanga to visit my parent's friends. Suddenly, my cousin called my dad because he needed help with his car. Apparently, he had flat tire and was stuck few blocks away from their house. So, I came with my dad and my grandfather to help. We left immediately after 'coz we were running late already and it's very difficult for my dad to drive at night. After visiting my parent's friend, we stopped over at SM Clark to eat supper at Tokyo-Tokyo. Each of us had 8 pieces of California Maki, haha!

I lodged my Australian student visa application last May. After one month, I received an e-mail from the immigration. It was a letter to acknowledge my receipt and then they asked for additional requirements. It showed that we're required to provide other evidence of funds showing details of transactions for the past 3 months. My mom called the case officer, who is handling my application and she asked a few questions about the letter they sent me. They told us that they only considered the China Bank bank certificates while the other BPI bank certificates are refused. So, I was very happy when Tita Jane immediately offered to help us and that she will provide the whole evidence of funds for me. But still, they didn't consider it even though, her money was more than enough of what they asked for. Another thing was my offer letter from TAFE expired at the same time. After that, I was expecting the result would be negative. The letter from immigration finally came last Wednesday. My student visa application was denied due to insufficient funds. I have never been this upset, disappointed and down in my entire life. Anyway, God has a lot of better reasons and another good plans for me. However, I can still re-apply anytime.

I didn't even attempt to ask for my dad's permission 'coz I think he wouldn't let me go out that night since we have to attend our Thanksgiving ceremony at church early in the morning. But still, my friends came to pick me up and my parents couldn't refuse. And so, all of my friends came to pick me up. I thought that we still had something to talk about, but apparently it was all over. I don't really have any idea on what they discussed, but I guess it's alright. I'm grateful that we're still all together. After that, we had a late snack at Mc Donald's.

Tita Bebe's family arrived last week from Japan for her son, Kean's 2nd birthday which will be next month. They are planning to stay here for the meantime 'coz her husband Tito Mackie, a US Navy, will be assigned in Afghanistan for a year. It would be hard for her and her son to stay just by themselves in other country without a husband and a father.

Anyway, we planned to have a simple welcome celebration today at Almon, a new resort here in Nueva Ecija for Kean because it's his first time in the Philippines and to meet the whole clan. We really had a great time. I was very happy 'coz my crush was invited too but sadly there was this annoying little shit was obviously trying to get his attention. She stayed close to us by the pool and all of a sudden pretended to be drowning. I quickly tried to save her and brought her towards the pool side but she purposely didn't move from her spot and instead screamed... "Kuya, help me!" and she continued pretending even though I was still holding her arm. When he tried to help her, she said... "Oops, Kuya joke lang po!" I was like WTF?! My crush was aware that the girl wanted his attention, so he talked the girl and asked a few questions. She said that she was studying at Ateneo, which I figured was a lie so I asked her what her course was and what hall. Can you believe it? She didn't know anything about her fake school! Why would she say that if she didn't know anything. I understand the fact that she only did that to impress us. Anyway, I feel really jealous when girls lurk around him. Lol. :]

My friend Christine celebrated her 22nd birthday last night at Edgardos with some of her classmates, her younger brother's guy friends and our barkada. I went there late because I know my friends will be there beyond the usual time. The party started at around 8 in the evening and still, among my friends I was the first one to arrive. I felt so alone that night coz I wasn't familiar with the other people around me. The whole bar was filled with most of her visitors. Even though she introduced me to her new girl classmate, I still felt uncomfortable. I didn't know where to fit myself that time and still I had no one else to talk to. It seemed like I was somebody who didn't belong in that group... maybe I was just being paranoid. The other visitors, especially the guys had their own world. They were busy playing billiards and it would be silly and strange if I approaced them for attention. Besides, I didn't even know them. Lol. So, I texted my friends to come there as soon as possible because I was feeling very lonely and out of place. And after an hour and a half later, thank goodness they came. O_O

We were waiting for my mom at the malls' food court today, when I saw my former college classmate who has been living few blocks away from our house. I was really shocked when I saw him there, 'coz I know that he's studying again in London right after we graduated. He saw me with my sister Sherry and sat with us. We had a bit of a long chat. I heard from him that his father passed away last week, that's why he came back to the Philippines. Even though, he was very sad from his father's death, he was still smiling in front of us. That day, I learned something important from him; It's that you should cherish every moment with your parents and show how much you love and care for them 'coz you'll never know what will happen next.

This morning, my parents accompanied me to the office of my mom's former colleague to attend a job training. We thought Tito Edgar would assign me for office work in their company, but we were surprised that I was going to be attending a sales representative seminar instead; although, they prefer calling it as a sales councelor. Why a sales councelor? Because it's not about selling simple things. They're selling pieces of land property located inside a private memorial cementery. The people explained to us more about being a sales councelor. First, selling property is not easy because land is way too expensive already even for a piece. Second, when you advertise and sell cementery land to people, the first thing that comes to mind is: "Do you want me to die already!?". The thing is, a sales councelor needs to be convincing when it comes to customers. After the seminar, I was automatically a sales councelor. Lol. Honestly, even with the discussion and everything, I really don't have any idea about what to do. Nevertheless, there is no harm in trying. A job is a job. This is my first job and I bet it's going to be unforgetable. Haha! :D

Last night, my friends and I decided to hangout somewhere but I didn't expect that they will pick me up at 10 o'clock in the evening and I'm not sure if my parents will allow me to go out that late. My dad and my mom just left a few minutes ago to pick up my sister at school when my friends arrived at our home. I told my friend Christine to call or text my dad to ask permission if I could still go out with them and she got my father's consent. :]

This is the first time I went out with them since I arrived in the Philippines. I missed them so much even though some of my friends were not there, still we really had a great time even they scared me to death, especially when Patrick threw a real huge frog in front of me and that freaks me out. x_x

I don't know how many blogs my cousin Sarah did for me. She always signed up for my name just to make sure that I'll write something on my blog. She and her sister Krissy keeps on saying that... "If you really want to study here in Australia, you should start practicing your english writing skills from now on, coz there's a lot of paper works in every subject and you have to take it seriously by this time"... and they were definitely right. At first, I didn't pay much attention on whatever they told me, but since when I got my IELTS result when I was there, although I passed the exam but I didn't get a high grade and I felt bad about it. However, it's a lesson for me. :)
